Missile silo for sale

Well, now, you can: head to Lewis, New York, travel down the Interstate 87, take a turn at the Magic Pines Family Campground and head across 8.3 acres of peaceful woodland and there, beneath the Adirondack Mountains, a the decommissioned Atlas missile silo.
The really cool part? Someone has turned it into a home.

Converted into a tiny one-bedroom quarters with a bath within the former launch control Centre, what the property lacks in habitable living space it makes up for by the fact that it has a giant 185-feet deep missile silo attached to its bottom.
The silo does not contain the nuclear missile any more, but it does have a Pneumatic Distribution Unit - we don’t know either - some Dr. Strangelove-esque clocks and, most important of all, lots of big red buttons to play with all day long.
Unlike Dr. Strangelove, you don’t have to worry what happens when you press them.
The cost of living in a missile silo? $750,000.
The fun you get to have when you tell your friends you live in a missile silo? Priceless.
