Immigrants have a vital role in future of the us, report suggests

Immigrants in the United States will be better integrated and more beneficial to the economy than every before by 2030, according to a research report.

Although most assimilate into American culture they will have more of a role in the coming decades in terms of learning English, buying homes, acquiring citizenship and achieving greater success, says the report published by the Center for American Progress.

For example, in 2000 about a quarter of all immigrants owned homes, but by 2030 that number is expected to be closer to 70%.

Furthermore, the number speaking English well or very well is projected to rise from 57.5% to 70.3% and those living in poverty is projected to fall from 22.8% to 13.4%.
