Jason Bateman has bought Ernest Bognine's house.
The actor, famous for playing Michael Bluth in Arrested Development, a sitcom about a struggling, incompetent family of property developers, had more luck in his real life real estate dealings, picking up the house for several hundred thousand dollars cheaper than its asking price.
The Beverly Hills compound was owned by the late Borgnine, who passed away last year and had lived there for 60 years. The house is located above Mulholland Drive with a gated entrance, offering a level of privacy that attracted both actors to the property.
"Ernest brought his family up here and lived here over 60 years," agent Paul Lester of The Agency told Zillow. "Lots of Hollywood history has passed through the doors of this house."
The estate was built in 1938 and spans 6,148 square feet, including an additional 1-bed guesthouse, which includes its own kitchen and living room.
The main property houses six bedrooms alongside a large master suite, grand staircase, a study and a den.
The house hit the market following the actor's death with a price tag of $3.395 million. Bateman and his wife, Amanda Anka, picked it up for $3 million - a move that would no doubt make Michael Bluth jealous.
