World's first semi-submerged hotel to be built in qatar

What is described as the world’s first semi-submerged hotel resort is to be built in Qatar and has been designed by Italian designer Giancarlo Zema which specialises in semi submerged architectural structures, floating habitats and yacht design.

The $500 million Amphibious 1000 is shaped is like a big aquatic animal stretching out from the land into the sea and extends horizontally for a kilometer with two long wide arms.

The activities of the hotel take place in the underwater area that is surrounded by aquariums.

The project is composed of a land section and sea section.
