Celebrity homes: charlie sheen buys third beverly hills home

The controversy magnet bought his first home in California’s opulent Mulholland Estate community back in 2006 for $7.2m: a Mediterranean-style property with five bedrooms and seven bathrooms. Sheen listed the house on the market in 2011 for that same sum, but failed to find a buyer.

In March of that year, during his very public meltdown, Sheen forked out the slightly lower sum of $6.9m to buy another similar property just round the corner. This one had six bedrooms and nine bathrooms.

“There were scads of rumors and reports that Mister Sheen purchased the property in order to put up one of his three ex-wives,” notes RealEstalker, although there have been no confirmations of who lives in the mansion.

But now Sheen has acquired yet another home in the Mulholland Estates. The Spanish-style villa, which boasts five bedrooms and six bathrooms, was quietly purchased in October 2012 from the millionaire owner of the Detroit Pistons, Tom Gores.

The three Beverly abodes are not the sole extent of Charlie’s real estate empire, though: he also owns a condo in Malibu.

But it seems his heart is set in the gated community located just north of Mulholland Drive. The star, who was formerly the highest paid actor on TV (earning $1.8 million per episode of Two and a Half Men), now shares his Mulholland Estates neighbourhood with wealthy investors and celebrities such as Robbie Williams, former Beach Boys leader Brian Wilson, the rock star Slash - and himself. Twice.
