Iranians surge into dubai property market
Dubai is seeing a surge of Iranian investors looking to safeguard their assets according to local professionals.
Estate agency Edwards and Towers has reported a 25% increase year-on-year in enquiries from Iranians. And managing director Mark Towers said that in recent weeks it has sold five properties to buyers from the stricken Arabic nation.
"In the last three months we have seen more and more Iranians," he said. "We didn’t see that a whole lot in the early part of 2011." Towers added that his agency has had to employ Farsi speakers to deal with the growing interest.
