Coming soon in south korea? Plans to erect $290 billion casino
South Korea has announced plans to erect a new casino resort on the Yongyu-Muui islands. The development will span over 30 square miles and cost $290 billion to build.
The project is called 8City and is primarily targeted at Chinese gamblers in an attempt to boost the nation's economy. Indeed, it will be located near to the Incheon international airport and has the backing of a hotel firm as well as an air carrier.
The ambitious casino rivals the ostentatious construction in markets such as Dubai and is estimated to be completed in 2030. Whether it is finished or not, the resort has already caught the eye of the world's media thanks to its distinctive central structure, which would be one of the largest buildings on the planet.
They call it the "Megastrip".
