Overseas property buyers look to europe

Countries in the Southern part of Europe by the Coast are catching the eye of potential overseas property buyers based in the UK, with more web searches for Greece, Cyprus, Ibiza, Sardinia and Portugal.

Overall overseas property searches have increased by 1.2% last month, Rightmove Overseas' most recent report shows.

The latest report shows that overall searches were up by 1.2% in March. The Spanish province of Valencia showed a huge rise in searches of 166.78%, making it the top climber.

Other areas shooting up the scale of interest include the Spanish island of Ibiza, which was up 24.73%, Sardinia in Italy, up 18.32%, and Portugal, up 14.36%. Portugal even overtook Australia in term of interest, climbing up to fourth place.
