Strauss-kahn house reduced again
The luxurious TriBeCa townhouse made famous during Dominique Strauss-Kahn's extended stay as a criminal defendant in Manhattan has suffered the indignity of a third price cut—this time to $11.995 million.
For three months last year, the rented house at 153 Franklin St. was a hot spot as Mr. Strauss-Kahn, the former head of the International Monetary Fund, waged his eventually successful fight against charges that he sexually assaulted a hotel housekeeper.
The media attention, beginning when Mr. Strauss-Kahn arrived under house arrest in late May accompanied by armed security guards, brought world-wide notice to the loft-like, three-story house with a strikingly modern design.
Among other features that intrigued reporters and photographers was a large ceramic pig sitting on a 24-foot-long terrace where Mr. Strauss-Kahn often sat, according to brokers. The pig ornament came with the rental.
