Investors in Malaysian property should do their research, experts have warned.

"Investors need to have a good knowledge about buying and selling property, about financing a property and the legal aspects," finance specialist Michael Yeoh told the Borneo Post.

Yeoh told delegates at an investment seminar that buyers need to understand the country's mortgage market before investing, especially as the government is planning to make changes to property gains tax and stamp duty.
