Deal and enquiry volumes rise as rents stabliise in qatar

Overseas property investors benefited from stable residential rental rates in Qatar during the fourth quarter of last year, as well as an increase in the number of real estate transactions and inquiries according to a new report from international consultancy Asteco.

And things won't Change much as 2012 progresses says Asteco. There will still be an excessive amount of supply, but the supply/demand gap will decrease towards the end of the year.

"The performance of Qatar's property sector is likely to be similar to 2011, with sales prices and rental rates remaining relatively flat," Jed Wolfe, managing director, Asteco Qatar told OPP.
