Celebrity homes: matt damon lists $20m mansion for sale

The Florida estate is as big as they come, spanning 12,700 square feet. Indeed, The Bourne Identity star’s home is located on two contiguous lots that the actor combined in one $14.5 million deal back in 2005 - technically, the  price for the mansion was $10.3 million.

The Mediterranean-style homes will contain a lot of memories for Matt and his wife Luciana Barroso, who moved into the mansion when they married. The couple have lived in the property with theiir six-year-old daughter Isabelle, four-year-old Gia, two-year-old Stella and Barroso’s daughter from a previous marriage, Alexia.

But Damon and Barroso, it seems are making a fresh start in 2013. Last weekend, the couple renewed their wedding vows on the Caribbean island of St. Lucia in a private ceremony attended by friends including George Clooney and Catherine Zeta-Jones. And now, they have listed their Florida mansion for sale.

In August last year, Damon splashed out for a new home in California, near his co-Oscar-winner Ben Affleck and his partner Jennifer Garner. Not just any home, either: according to the listing it is the “best house in Pacific Palisades”. The transaction for the seven-bedroom Californian property set the star back $15 million. But he will have no problem funding his new home when the Miami Beach mansion sells: their asking price is a whopping $20 million.
