Dutch airline offers chance to sleep in "airplane apartment"
The bizarre listing on Airbnb is the latest in a string of marketing stunts designed to offer unusual living spaces to those with a taste for the weird. The 366m² blue and white jet is available for free to competition winners "from anywhere in the world".
They can be sure of a first class stay: the accommodation contains a living room, master bedroom, two children's beds, two kitchens and no less than eight small bathrooms. Wi-Fi and a toaster is included, not to mention a games console and, of course, a panoramic view from the cockpit window.
In-flight entertainment also includes such aviation-themed movies as Disney's Planes, Snakes on a Plane and Top Gun.
The house rules? "No flying." "Don't use the inflatable emergency slide." "No marshmallow roasting with the jet engines."
