Video - germany and france call for eurozone treaty reforms

Germany's chancellor says the Eurozone will stay on course, despite warnings of a mass downgrade of member states' credit ratings.

Angela Merkel was responding to Standard and Poor's announcement that 15 Eurozone countries have been put on quote "credit watch negative".

The ratings agency wants Europe's leaders to come up with a credible plan to save the euro.
