Tips to get your property moving on the market

How long has your home been on the market? Over six months? Why? There are two reasons why your home hasn't sold after half a year; you're listing is overpriced or you're home isn't in selling condition. It's time to face facts. If your home isn't selling and the showings have stopped, it's time to Change strategies.

 1. Reduce Your Price - I know you don't want to, but it's the best option to get your home sold. No matter how much marketing you do, if you're overpriced, buyers won't bite. There are too many great deals and too many options for a buyer to wait around for you to become reasonable. Reduce your price today, now, do it and get rid of the dang thing!

2. Get Rid Of The Crap - Cluttered homes are not in selling condition. Get rid of your crap. Pictures of the family on the mantel? Get rid of it. Pig collection in the china hut in the living room? Get rid of it. Dead animals on the wall in the den? Get rid of 'em. Pink paint in the foyer? Neutralize it, now! If you've got extra clutter, you're distracting your potential buyers when they should be looking at your home.

3. Get A Serious Agent Or Get Out - Are you serious about selling your home? Do you have an agent that's been feeding you full of sweet nothings? It's time to get serious or get out of the market. If you want to sell, ditch the agent that promised you the world. Yes, they may be friends, but this is business. If you're agent promised they would sell your home and you haven't heard from them since, it's time to move on. Find a better agent or just take your home off the market.
