Princess margaret's caribbean retreat up for sale
The house in St Lucia where Lord Glenconner celebrated his 60th birthday with Princess Margaret and Mick Jagger in 1986 is on the market for £3.5million.
Lord Glenconner, aka Colin Tennant who died last year aged 83, went to live at The Old Courthouse on the outskirts of Soufriere after selling the island of Mustique. He stayed there for four years until 2002.
Owned by Martinus Phillip, a local council official, it is now a restaurant, with three bedrooms upstairs. 'We still get the rich and famous coming to dine here. It's the place to be seen in St Lucia,' says Martinus, 60. 'I'm selling because I need to put my children through university.'
