Agents find and manage their clients on facebook
According to a recent research by online consulancy Postling, nearly 80% of overseas property agents are now using Facebook to market their practice and their properties, and manage their client records and contacts.
“In this economy, many agents have embraced the social media world to promote their brand and their listings because it is free, easy and efficient.” Melissa Savenko, a RE/MAX Commonwealth realtor in Richmond, Virginia, told OPP.
Agencies are approaching potential buyers on a personal level via Facebook says Postling, inviting them to look at the agency’s business page. The activity allows property firms to target specific content and audience more effectively.
“It used to be that a monthly newsletter was enough to keep your network updated on your business, but with the advent of social media, you now have the opportunity to stay top-of-mind on an ongoing basis’” says the consultancy. “We all know that newsletters can easily get stuck in spam filters, and besides that, not everyone opens the newsletter each month, so Facebook apps like Constant Contact make newsletters available to all friends and fans on Facebook.”
