Celebrity homes: kevin james’ californian house up for sale
The actor, known for his roles in Hollywood comedies such as Paul Blart: Mall Cop as well as the TV show The King of Queens, has listed his Encino mansion. James bought the property for $3.2 million in 2003, according to Trulia, one year after he snapped up another home in the area for $1.45 million.
But the star really turned heads when he splashed out a staggering $18.5 million on a Florida home, which makes this 11,291 square foot property look cheap by comparison. But the home is nonetheless impressive.
The retreat, located behind private gates off Rodeo Boulevard, boasts five bedrooms and nine bathrooms as well as views of the valley and mountains - not to mention “a state-of-the-art home theatre, Crestron Home Automation, a massive gym, luxurious spa and gourmet chef's dream kitchen”. There’s even a walk-in closet, adds the listing, “equally befitting a posh boutique on Rodeo Dr.”
Maybe escaping to paradise doesn’t sound so bad after all.
