Art deco hotel on miami beach to get makeover

Yet another Miami Beach hotel's slated to get a pricey makeover, the South Florida Business Journal reports.

This time, it's the 70-year-old Raleigh Hotel, an Art Deco gem with an ornate outdoor pool and landscaped outdoor dining area that last received a major renovation in 2004, the story says.

The Business Journal says that the hotel's owner just received a $20 million loan for the renovation.

The Raleigh's owner is Brilla Group, a Miami-based private equity firm that specializes in resorts and beachfront hotels, the article says.
