Foreign investors 'returning to thai property market'

There has been an increase in foreign buyers on the Thai real estate market since the country held peaceful elections earlier this month, it has been noted.

Chairman of Jones Lang Lasalle Thailand Longlom Bunnag told attendees at an event sponsored by Property Report South East Asia that investors viewed the successful elections as "a good sign for the country".

Meanwhile, managing director of Colliers International Thailand Patima Jeerapaet stated that buyers were coming from all over the world, including Singapore, China, Australia, the Middle East, Britain and Japan.

He added that Russian investors appear to be particularly interested in property in Pattaya and Phuket.
