Historic la mansion sold for $4.5m

California billionaire Ron Burkle is the new owner of the historic Ennis House designed by legendary architect Frank Lloyd Wright.

The landmark Los Angeles mansion, which is modelled on the Mayan structures in Mexico, was sold for $4.5 million, the property's sellers said.

Mr Burkle will continue renovating the 1924 building, said Marla Felber, chairperson of Ennis House Foundation.

The foundation has already spent $6.5 million to rehabilitate the structure.
