Survey: no us housing recovery until ’14
Americans have become more downbeat about the housing market getting better anytime soon, according to survey results released Wednesday.
More than half said they don’t expect a housing recovery until 2014 or later, according to a joint RealtyTrac/Trulia.com consumer sentiment survey released today. Only a third felt that way in a similar online survey done for the real estate data companies in November.
The growing pessimism is no surprise, said Sean Snaith, a University of Central Florida economic professor and director of the university’s Institute for Economic Competitiveness.
“We’ve been in a bad housing market for so long, it’s hard to imagine it improving anytime soon,” he said.
